The Stuff of 2011: blogTO's Toronto History Galleries

If you're a regular reader, you know we're pretty into the history of our city. And one of the best historical features we saw this year (you know, other than the ones we did ourselves) were the photo galleries put together by Derek Flack over at blogTO.  He started in February with galleries for nearly every decade since the city was founded, beginning with paintings of the days before the 1850s and then working chronologically through to the present. Earlier this month, he posted a mammoth collection of all of blogTO's galleries about the history of Toronto. You can check it out yourself here. We're pretty sure we're going to be using up a lot of our 2012 exploring it.

You'll find the rest of our "Stuff of 2011" posts here. If there's something you enjoyed this year that you'd like to share, write something about it and email it to us at submissions@littleredumbrella.com by December 21. We'll post some of our favourites.

The blogTO galleries were chosen by Adam Bunch, the Editor-in-Chief of the Little Red Umbrella and the creator of the Toronto Dreams Project. You can read his posts here, follow him on Twitter here, or email him at adam@littleredumbrella.com.
