Our Friends Over At Knock Twice Have Started A Lecture Series

If you're a regular reader of The Little Red Umbrella, you already know Erika Jacobs and Eugen Sakhnenko thanks to their excellent "Photographers You Should Know" pieces. We re-post them every couple of weeks or so from their equally excellent blog, Knock Twice, which is full of tips and tricks for other information up-and-coming, young, professional creative types.

Now, Knock Twice is launching a brand new lecture series, which is pretty exciting news. Here's the announcement they posted on the blog:

"I am excited to finally announce one of the projects we’ve been working on for the last while – we are launching a new lecture series called Flightpath. On the last Tuesday of every month, we invite two young artists/creatives to share their experience, speaking about what they do and how they got there, in one inspiring evening. We’ll be kicking things off on February 28th with talks by photographer Amanda McNaughton and textile artist Amanda McCavour. The best part is, the lectures are free to attend!

"All of the details relating to the next night of talks are on the new Flightpath page:

"Our goal with these lectures is to give you an idea of what it’s like after graduating, the types of opportunities that are available, and to share the lessons / insights of practicing photographers, artists, and other creatives. By breaking out of the screen and into the real world, we hope to build a community to connect you with others doing interesting work and learn from each other’s experiences.

"Whether you’re still in school, a recent grad, or a working pro, you will walk away inspired, and full of ideas. Please join us for our first ever Flightpath lectures on February 28th. Seating is limited so please RSVP on Facebook."
