We're suckers for retro when it comes to pretty much everything except for computers and dentistry. So we were pretty excited when we heard the opening tune off The Group Sound's 2011 record, Secret Girlfriend. The almost-title-track, "Secret Goilfriend", is a surf-y blues-y throwback. And the rest of the ten tracks on the album from the Edmonton-born, Montreal-based rockers follow in the same excellent vein. Frontman Matthew Israelson was good enough to recently answer a few of our silly questions and we've post some MP3s below so you can get know them.
